Grzegorz Myka, Chief Environmental Protection Specialist at MPEC Olsztyn tells about the project executed by INSTAL-FILTER SA:
The previous applicable standard admitted dust emission of ca. 255 tons a year. After modernization of the dedusting system by the Koscian company, the installations will emit maximum 16 tons a year, i.e. by 239 tons of dust less per annum. - "During warranty tests the dust emission amounted to ca. 3 mg/Nm3 at 6% O2. This means that, in fact, during operation of the three modernized installations the amounts of dust emitted to the atmosphere will be not 16 but 1.9 tons/year. Reduction from 255 tons to 1.9 tons per annum is the reduction of dust emission by 99.2%. It is also 10 times less than it is required by the rigorous EU standards as outlined in the tender procedure. These numbers constitute the best recommendation for the Koscian contractor".
