FGD System at SKIERNIEWICE CHP Plant
We are carrying out a project relating to the construction of a Flue Gas Desulphurisation System and a Flue Gas Dedusting System for Energetyka Cieplna Sp. z o.o. in Skierniewice and the works are currently at a final stage. We commenced the works on the site in spring 2019, and the completion is scheduled for November 2020. At present, we are performing start-up operations for the system.
As the General Contractor, we are implementing the project based on our own know-how in the “turn-key” formula. The scope of works includes drawing up a complete design documentation, manufacturing all system components, their erection and start-up, including the optimisation of its operation. INSTAL-FILTER SA also provides trainings for the personnel of the CHP Plant and ensures the full scope of service works. As regards the treatment process envisaged for the FG Desulphurisation System and the FG Dedusting system, a “semi-dry” method will be employed and a fluidised bed reactor accompanied by vertical bag filters will be used. The new system will allow for reducing SOx emissions from flue gas below 200 mg/Nm³, and will be used for a battery of four boilers: K4, K3, K2 & K1. Also other acid compounds and heavy metals will be reduced. The system flow rate will be above 300,000 m3/h.
Upon the completion of the project, this will be one of the first facilities of this type in Poland. This upgrade will enable the Skierniewice CHP Plant to become definitely a greener heat supplier than coal-fired furnaces used in individual buildings. The project is co-funded by funds from the National Fund of Environmental Protection and Water Management as part of the priority programme called “Support for Low-Emission and Resource-Efficient Economy”.
This is another project implemented by INSTAL-FILTER SA, the purpose of which is to adapt a CHP Plant so that it could meet requirements of EU directives (IED, BAT).
